Services held for Mary Bernice Schell
DOWNEY-Services were held Oct. 23 at the First Baptist Church of Downey for Mary Bernice Schell, a 
Downey resident for 58 years and a homemaker. 
She was 85, born in Nebraska, and died Oct. 20 in Downey Community Hospital. 
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Downey. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Schell, a brother Archie Miller, a sister Marjorie Miller, 
a niece Lorie Miller, and grandson Kevin Bleul. 
Survivors include her son, Robert (Carol) Schell; a daughter, Barbara (George) Bleul; five grandchildren, 
Mark and Michael Schell, Christine (Schell) Fallon, Heide King, and Peter Bleul; and seven great-grandchildren. 
Pastor James Eggert officiated. Burial followed at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier. 
Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuary of Downey.
