Published: 23 May 1940 HORRIBLE AUTO ACCIDENT NEAR MOJAVE The blowing out of a tire, was responsible for one of the worst auto accidents in years to happen near Mojave when Mrs. Adeline Siriann of Los Angeles was instantly killed and six others who were riding with her were severely injured one of whom is believed near death. The car driven by Dean Ferren of Mojave overturned seven times after the tire blew out. Mrs. Siriann died instantly. .still unconscious and not expected to live is Mrs. Marie Ferren a sister of the dead 'woman and wife of Dean Ferren. Others injured were Mrs. Julian Seroufe, Louis Seroufe, Jennie Siriann and Betty Siriann. The injured persons are at the Mojave Hospital. Highway Patrolman C. A. Scott investigated. The accident occurred on Sunday last 2 miles south of Mojave at 4 p. m.
