Donald R. "Dick" Smith, 66, of San Diego died Saturday. He was born in 
North Vernon, Ind., and was retired after working as a maintenance 
supervisor. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Irene Smith; daughters, Valerie Duffek of 
Seattle, Donna Ripley of Port Angeles, Wash., Brenda Miles of Wesson, 
Mich., and Tina Smith of Conroe, Texas; sons, Gary Smith of Columbus, 
Ind., Rick Smith of Port Angeles, Wash., and Willie Smith of San Diego; 
sisters, Jeanette Anderson of San Diego, Edna Pearl Beck and Winifred M. 
Coryea of Indiana, and Anna Margaret McKee and Ellendor Maschino of 
Florida; brothers, William N. Smith of Goffstown, N.H., and Kenneth N. 
Smith of Killeen, Texas; and 15 grandchildren.
Services: 12:30 p.m. tomorrow, Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point 
Loma.
