Helen Margaret Smith mourned at age of 88
DOWNEY-A Funeral Mass was heard Thursday, Oct. 10, at Saint Raymond's 
Catholic Church for Helen Margaret Smith, a longtime Downey resident who 
died Oct. 6 in Paramount Convalescent Hospital.
She was 88, a native of Kansas born Sept. 17, 1908, and was a homemaker 
for 68 years.

She was preceded in death in 1988 by her husband, Louis S. Smith.

Survivors include her brother, James Meek of Columbus, Ohio; a dear friend 
and executrix, Elizabeth (Betty) Nagy of Downey; and nieces and nephews.

Burial followed at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Downey 
Zrelak Family Mortuary.
