Mr. Leon M. Smith, age 64, son of the late Leon and Dorothy Smith was born 
February 6, 1939 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the husband of Yoneko and to the 
union was born two sons, Michael (wife Kelly) and Melvin. He served over 24 
years in the U.S. Air Force before retiring. He and his family resided in 
Mojave, California. He departed this life Tuesday, October 27, 2003 at his 
residence.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife Yoneko, his sons, Michael 
(wife Kelly) and Melvin, 3 grandchildren, Yoshi, Andre' and Diamante, two 
sisters, Dorothy Joann Smith and Eva Arvelo of Memphis, and one brother Lawrence 
Smith of Jacksonville, Florida, and numerous other relatives and devoted 
friends.
