Son of Gilbert and Ila Mae Moore Snyder, he lived the greater portion of his life on or near his pioneer grandfathers (Henry Moore) homestead in Woody. He served on the Blake School Board, the Blue Mountain Cemetery Board and was a key participant in getting the Woody Community Hall built. But first and foremost, he loved living and working on his ranch in Woody. Irving was preceded in death by his daughter, Lorrie.
