As a result of an accident at Burton Bros., mine near Rosamond on Tuesday 
morning, Mike Stepich, an employee of many years standing at that mine, lost his 
life when a heavy gear fell on him inflicting painful injuries from which he died at 
the local hospital. O'Donnell's ambulance: brought the injured man here. Funeral 
services will be announced later.

Mr. & Mrs. Michael Stepich and son were here on Monday from Cleveland Ohio, 
to attend the funeral of their father, Mike Stepich, who was killed while at work in 
Burton Bros. mine last week.
