Source Unknown; Date Unknown California City resident, Myron Stone, passed away November 10, 2004 at the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration Hospital from pnumonia. He was born at this parents San Fernando home on February 23, 1925. He moved from the San Fernando Valley to California City with his son in 1996. Myron was a World War II Naval Veteran and Merchant Marine. He worked for Yosemite Lodge and Curry Company and assisted Ansel Adams during the 1950s. He retired from the City of San Fernando as maintenance chief. He is survived by his son David Stone of California City, sister Ora Virginia "Ginny" Bennett of Austin, Texas, brother Earl Stone of Texas and cousins Bill Barber of Sonoma, California and Donald Stone of Sylmar, California. He is to be buried at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to help defray burial expenses.
