Florence Mary Taylor Posted: 03/18/2010 06:29:07 AM PDT Florence Mary Taylor, age 68, of Redlands, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at home surrounded by her loving family. She fought a courageous three-year battle with colon cancer. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, December 3, 1941, daughter of the late Ray Siegler and Florence O'Malley. After graduating Redlands High School in 1959, she embarked on a 32-year career in customer service for General Telephone & Electronics Corporation. She was a life long member of Sacred Heart Church. Her passions in life included her family, friends, dogs, dancing, giggling, obsessively calling her children to check on their safety, avidly reading romance novels, and creating the most magical Christmas times one can imagine. She is survived by her husband, Hail Randolph "Randy" Taylor, daughter, Colleen Beltran (Daniel), sons, Michael Taylor and Jeffery Taylor (Cara), and 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was a good daughter, sister, wife, and a truly loving and devoted mother, cheerful and hard-working. Florence also leaves behind many friends from life and work. Florence was known for her kind heart, social nature, and "Irish temper." She was selfless and caring to all. She will be inexpressibly missed. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus (Sacred Heart) on Olive Avenue. Memorial services will follow at the Fox Theater at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Cortner Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
