In this city, Dec. 28th, Captain John Gorham THAYER, formerly of the First 
Massachusetts Cavalry, aged 35 years.

[Funeral to-morrow morning, at 11 o�clock, from the residence of his 
brother-in-law, J.F. HOUGHTON, Ninth street, between G and H. His friends and 
the friends of the family are invited to attend without further notice.]
