All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. San Diego Union; July 19, 1910 LIVED HERE 25 YEARS; DIES IN FRANKFORT, IND. John A. Thoman, who up to a few months ago had been a resident of San Diego for more than 25 years, died at the home of his sister. Mrs. Dr. Charles Chattock, in Frankford, Ind. on July 7, according to advice received here yesterday by friends. Mr. Thoman while here was a member of a local G.A.R. post and prominent in the work of that organization. During the civil war he was attached to the United States cavalry, and was badly wounded in the knee during one of the engagements. The cause of his death is not known.
