April 14, 1916 - March 27, 2005
Emma Vakarcs Thorold was born April 14, 1916 
in McKeesport, Pa. She married John Charles 
Thorold in 1939. Together they raised two 
children, Lawrence Thorold and Nancy Lamb, 
who survive their mother.
She was the grandmother of five and the great-
grandmother of 11.
Emma passed away on Easter Sunday.
Her funeral and burial will be in Wayne, Mich. A 
memorial service will be held in Tehachapi at a 
later date.
