Pioneer Resident Passes Away 
Hugh Campbell Topp, long time resident of Saltdale, Calif., passed away at the 
Ridgecrest Hospital, Nov. 7, after a long illness. Mr. Topp, who was widowed 
some time ago, is survived by a brother in Tennessee, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. 
Margaret Topp, Saltdale. Short services will be held at the O'Donnell Funeral; 
Home Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Suydam of Randsburg, officiating. 
Mr. Topp graduated from the Southwestern University of Tennessee 53 years 
ago, and was employed by the Remington Rand Co., for some time. For the past
26 years he had made his home in Saltdale, where he was employed by the Long 
Beach Salt Company.
