Daily Press; 2/19/2008 Our Loving mother, Ella Turner, passed away peacefully Feb. 15, 2008, at Apple Valley Christian Care Center in Apple Valley. She was born June 18, 1912 in Walsenberg, Colo. She moved to Sacramento where she was a long-time resident then moved to Bishop where she lived for 11 years and has spent the last 6 years in Apple Valley. Ella was preceded in death by her parents , her husband, 5 sisters, 1 brother and a son Ed Wayne Herrick. She is survived by 2 sisters, Erinstine Grabinske, Lucy Schoonmaker, her children, Maria Crouse of Las Vegas and Margaret Bell of Apple Valley, and Barney Wadley of Whittier. There were five generations all who will miss her dearly. Our beloved mother enjoyed life, especially playing bingo in her latter years. A viewing will be on Wednesday from 1 - 2 p.m. with services following at Roy Rogers /Dale Evans Chapel, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, California. Interment will be Friday at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento where she will be laid to rest with her husband and family members. Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
