Friends, family mourn Ernest J. (Ernie) Uarte
DOWNEY-A Funeral Mass will be heard at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Our 
Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for Ernest J. (Ernie) Uarte, a Downey 
resident for 45 years, who died at Intercommunity Nursing Center Nov. 19.

He was born in South Pasadena and was 86. He was a bank manager for 45 
years for Bank of America in Los Angeles, Downey and South Pasadena.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances of Downey; a daughter, Peggy Carson 
of Plano, Texas; a sister, Alice Saporito of Lancaster, California; and one 
granddaughter.

A Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at the Downey Zrelak 
Family Mortuary Chapel.

Burial will be at the All Souls Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Downey 
Zrelak Family Mortuary.
