Mojave resident Manuel Diaz Valadez passed away on February 4, 2005 at the age of 60 
in Lancaster. He was born in Mojave on December 10, 1944 to Simon and Marcos 
Valadez. He was employed at Reveres Extruders plant for 28 years and worked as a 
security guard.  
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jim Woods of Colorado 
Springs, Colorado, son Jimmy Valadez of Mojave; grandchildren, Tyson, Ryan and 
Katlynn; sisters, Tomasa Culpepper and Margie Terry, both of Mojave, Esther Trevino of 
San Antonio and Rita Wyler of San Jacinto, California; brothers, Tony of San Ysidro, 
Bennie, John, Michael, Phillip, Victor and Jesse, all of Mojave, and Simon of Stockton.  
He is also survived by his friend and companion Dee LaBit and her children, Leonard 
(BB), Brian, Edgar, Ayanna, Dominic and his loving pets, Prince and Cinder. 
Manuel's parents, Simon Valadez predeceased him in 2003, his mother, Marcos Valadez 
in 1983 and a sister, Ruth (Valadez) Flores in 1978.  
Services were held February 9, 2005 at Stickel Mortuary by
