Leona Carolyn Vale mourned by many here
DOWNEY-Friends may visit White's Funeral Home, 9903 Flower St., Bellflower, from 1 to 5 p.m. 
Sunday, May 17, for Leona Carolyn Vale, a longtime Downey resident who was active in the First 
Southern Baptist Church of Downey for many years. 
She was 80, and died May 12. 
She was a lifetime member of the Downey Community Hospital Auxiliary. 
Survivors include her husband, Donald Vale; her sons, Kenneth (Bea) Wainwright and Jon (Janice) 
Wainwright; eight grandchildren; a brother, Earl Marigitan; and sisters Mary Ann Genter, Betty 
Jones and Oliva Cermak. 
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 18 at the First Southern Baptist Church of Downey.
