Source Unknown; 30 Nov 1950 Well Loved Resident Laid to Rest Saturday Funeral services for Mrs. Christina Visser, long time resident of Mojave, were held at the Community Congregational Church, of which she was a member for a number of years, on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 2 p.m. Dr. Robert LincoIn Kelley officiated and Mrs. Leanis Richardson sang, accompanied by Mrs. Myra Craig. Mrs. Visser was well known to Mojave folks and contributed a number of handmade sweaters to the Red Cross during World I War II for her hands were never still. She passed away at the Mojave hospital early Thursday morning last, following a heart attack which occurred on Tuesday of last week. She was born in Holland January 7, 1877 and came to California in 1912, She is survived by a daughter and son, Mrs. Marie Twomey and Mr. Orville Visser, both of Los Angeles, and five grandchildren. Burial was in the Mojave Cemetery, with the O'Donnell Funeral Home in charge.
