Well Loved Resident Laid to Rest Saturday 
Funeral services for Mrs. Christina Visser, long time resident of Mojave, were held 
at the Community Congregational Church, of which she was a member for a number 
of years, on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 2 p.m. Dr. Robert LincoIn Kelley officiated and 
Mrs. Leanis Richardson sang, accompanied by Mrs. Myra Craig.
Mrs. Visser was well known to Mojave folks and contributed a number of handmade 
sweaters to the Red Cross during World I War II for her hands were never still.
She passed away at the Mojave hospital early Thursday morning last, following a 
heart attack which occurred on Tuesday of last week. She was born in Holland 
January 7, 1877 and came to California in 1912, She is survived by a daughter and 
son, Mrs. Marie Twomey and Mr. Orville Visser, both of Los Angeles, and five 
grandchildren.
Burial was in the Mojave Cemetery, with the O'Donnell Funeral Home in charge.
