Appeal Democrat Tuesday October 04, 1949 pg 3 H Wadsworth Young Musician Dies in Hospital Harold Eugene Wadsworth, 25, native of Marysville and a talented musician, died in Rideout memorial hospital last night following a brief illness. Wadsworth was known throughout the state in music circles having appeared on several occasions in piano recitals. In many of these he played original compositions. For the past few years he has been teaching piano in this community in conjunction with Mrs Mary Carrington Miller at 527 G street. Mrs Miller was Wadsworth's teacher for several years and supported his musical career. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Leo A. Wadsworth, of Ontario, members of pioneer Sutter county families. His grandparents are Mrs Lottie Wadsworth and the Late Sutter county Supervisor E. S. Wadsworth and Mrs Wilhelmina Beecroft of Sutter and the late Frank A Beecroft. In addition to his two grandmothers, he is survived by his parents; two brothers, Leo A Jr., of Los Angeles and Ralph, of Stockton and a sister, Mrs Virginia Wiseman of Westenz. Wadsworth became ill with pneumonia on Thursday. Funeral arrangements are being made by Ullrey Memorial chapel
