Death Certificate for William H. of San Joaquin Co. states William died December 5, 1898. He was born in KY, was 57 yrs of age and lived at 727 E. Miner Ave. The only building that is close to this address had been an old tire store for many years. The area is a bit dilapidated but full of craft homes, some large and some small. William apparently was in this area due to the hospital. His Physician was from the St. Louis MO Medical College and he had attended William from January 12, 1898 to Dec. 5, 1898. The primary cause of death was Stomach hernia and the secondary cause of death due to complication of diabetes. The Dr. in attendance was J. D. Dameron. Linden Cemetery, located in the town of Linden, CA, about 12 miles from Stockton, on Highway 8 (Linden Rd). Thought to be started a little before 1850. The newer part started in 1877 (formerly the Ashley Family property). There is no record of deed to this property and so the land was donated for the purpose of a cemetery. This William is married in Feb. 26, 1877 In San Joaquin Co, CA To Ann Snow from England b:3 pg 620 They are the couple who are buried in San Joaquin Co., Linden Grove Cemetery Row 6 W 18 W. H. Walker 57 KY b:1898 d:1840 Ann Walker 69 England d: Oct 1902 b:1835 This William Walker is not in her line, but Kathy wishes to share her research above on this person in hopes it may help someone else.
