All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Redlands Daily Facts; 03/12/2008 Alice R. Waltner, a lifelong resident of Yucaipa, died of heart failure March 6 in Redlands. She was 87. She was born Sept. 5, 1920, in Loma Linda and graduated from Redlands High School in 1937. She was a licensed vocational nurse for Braswell's Convalescent Center and was a member of the Citizen Patrol in Yucaipa. She was preceded in death by brothers Harold E. Cook and Wesley Cook and sister Margaret James. Survivors include daughter Jennifer Miller of Calimesa; granddaughter Tracie Mitchell of Apple Valley; and great-grandson Tanner Mitchell. Visitation is 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703, Brookside Ave., Redlands. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Hillside Memorial Park, 1540 Alessandro Road, Redlands.
