The Downey Eagle January 25, 2002 Volume 9 Number 49 Memorial service for Michael Ward tomorrow DOWNEY-A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Wilshire Presbyterian Church, 300 Western Ave., Los Angeles, for Michael Ward, a 24-year Downey resident and a Chevrolet and Crews Evaporator and Dryer welder/fabricator for 10 years. He was 47, born in Flint, Michigan May 12, 1954, and died Jan. 19, 2002 due to complications of diabetes. He was a licensed private pilot and a certified scuba diver. He had a passion for model building and woodworking. His skill as an artist was expressed through his many sketches and watercolors. He was an accomplished mechanic and restored two complete 1965 Mustangs. Survivors include his wife Grace; his pets Molly and Beeper; and his extended family. Donations may be made in his memory to the Living Free Animal Sanctuary, P.O. Box 5, Mountain Center, CA
