Weinberg DOWNEY-A Funeral Mass was heard Thursday, March 11, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for Norbert (Norb) William Weinberg, a 46 year Downey resident and the former co-owner of Lockman and Associates Engineering. He was a graduate of USC where he received his civil engineering degree. He was a past Grand Knight of the Knute Rockne Council No. 3697 Knights of Columbus, was a past president of the Columbus Club of Downey, a member of the Downey Design Review Board, and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He served in the Army Air Corps as a weather observer from 1943 until 1946, and was a member of the U.S. Naval Reserves from which he retired as a captain. Survivors include his wife, Eileen of Downey; a son, Michael (Betsy) of West Linn, Oregon; a daughter, Noreen Bradley (Jim) of Placentia; and four grandchildren. Pastor Rev. John Maloney officiated. Burial is today (Friday, March 12) at 10:30 a.m. in Riverside National Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.
