Source Unknown; Date Unknown Oct. 21, 1946 � May 25, 2004 A graveside funeral service was held Tuesday, June 1 at the Tehachapi Public Cemetery Westside, for Waldena Rose West, 57, who passed away on May 25 in Tehachapi. Waldena was born on Oct. 21, 1946 in Detroit, Mich. As a very young girl, she moved with her family to Reseda, where she remained for many years. Waldena was employed as a secretary for the County of Los Angeles, working in the hospital food service department for three years. She married her husband of 14 years, Alan M. West, on June 16, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nev. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Tehachapi, making many new friends in the Golden Highlands Estates. Waldena enjoyed gardening. She was known for the many beautiful roses in her yard. She loved angels, becoming an ardent collector. For over 20 years, Waldena fulfilled a desire to help others by counseling many women who attended the Arid Club in Lancaster. She touched many lives. Waldena is survived by her loving husband, Alan M. West, of Tehachapi; sons, Tony Trulio and his wife Dena of California City and William Jacobs and his wife Suzy of San Diego; grandsons, Brett Trulio and William Jacobs, Jr.; one sister and four brothers. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
