Source Unknown; 7 Mar 2002 Velma Elizabeth Westberg, 94, a resident of Mojave, CA for 66 years, passed away on March 2, 2002 in Lancaster, CA. She was born on July 11, 1907 in Fairview, UT and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family members recalled that she was an exceptional homemakers. Velma is survived by her loving family � sister, Arlene Rogers of Orem, UT; brother, Erwin Clement of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Dixie Richardson and her husband, Bill, of Mojave; son Stanley Westberg and his wife, Rita, of Citrus Heights, CA and a son-in- law, James Evans, of Anaheim Hills, CA. Also surviving "Grandma Great" are her grandchildren � Jimmy Evans and his wife, Tara, of Orem, UT; Larry Evans of Henderson, NV; Tommy Evans and his wife, Jolina, of Camas, WA; Steve Evans and wife, Cheryl, of Antioch, CA; Kathy Fogel and husband, Mark, of Los Angeles, CA; David Evans and wife, Nancy, of Ammon, ID; Tina Johnson, Tami Montoya, and husband Nick, Terry Scott and husband, Mark, all of Mojave; Tracy Stanley and husband, Mark, of England; Denice Denault and husband, Keith, of Rocklin, CA; Brent Westberg of Sacramento, CA; and 29 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Stanley J. Westberg and a daughter, Carol A. Evans. Velma devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. One of the greatest tributes that can be given to this grandmother is if you were to ask any grandchild, each one would tell you, without a doubt, "I was grandma's favorite!" Services will be held by Bishop Steven Evans on Saturday, March 9, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Latter Day Saints Church on Koch Street, Mojave, CA.
