White Jr. 25, a miner working for Pacific Coast Borax Co., drowned while swimming at the Rancho Oro Verde pool near Muroc last Sunday afternoon. He had been swimming from noon until a little after 3 p.m. when other swimmers noticed he had not been seen for a few minutes. His body was recovered, and while artificial respiration was being administered, the Edward Air Force Base fire department was called. They brought their resuscitator, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. Captain White M.D. pronounced the man dead at 3:55. O'Donnell Funeral Home was called, and the body shipped to Glenside, Pa., for burial. He is survived by his parents and one brother of Roslyn, Pa.
