John Thomas B. Wilkins remembered in Downey
DOWNEY-John Thomas Bush Wilkins, 47, died Feb. 22, 2001 in his home in Downey. A memorial 
service was held after cremation on March 1, 2001 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 
in Downey. 
John Thomas Bush was born April 15, 1953 in Lowell, Massachusetts, the son of John Thomas and 
Wilma Grace (Oliver) Bush Sr. He worked as a tow truck driver and semi truck driver in the Los 
Angeles area, and lived most of his life there. He had two sons with Cynthia Ann Baugh, and a 
daughter with his wife Cathy (Murray) Wilkins. 
He is survived by a son, James Stacey Bush; a daughter, Tonya Marie Wilkins; two sisters, Mrs. 
Estagen (Linda D. Bush) Zimmerman, Mrs. Greg (Cynthia I. Wilkins) Kowalski; a brother, DeLoy I. 
Wilkins; and a stepfather, DeLoy I. Wilkins Sr. 
He was preceded in death by his father, John in 1995; his mother, Grace in 1977; and a son, John 
Thomas Bush III in 1971. 
He is survived by his children, sisters and brother, nephew Keith J. Zimmerman; nieces Casandra 
M. Wery, Melissa D. Zimmerman, Hannah Wilkins, Abigale I. Kowalski and Anna G. Kowalski.
