Source Unknown; Date Unknown Tony Williams fondly remembered CALIFORNIA CITY Anthony Alan "Tony" Williams is remembered as a caring community man and a devoted husband, father and son. Williams, of California City, was killed in a tragic single-vehicle accident on July 26. He worked as a re frigeration technician for the Mojave Unified School District for the past 10 years. Williams was also a volunteer member of the Kern County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team serving with the organization as a lieutenant. Williams' father, Cody, spoke proudly of his son focusing on his love of sports and the outdoors. "His favorite pastime was simply fishing," said the elder Williams. Friends and co-workers in East Kern communities are saddened by the loss and described Williams as a valued friend. In a written rememberance of their son Eula and Cody Williams said, "Tony believed in God, Jesus, life after death and the United States of America. He strived to keep his word, to do his best in all undertakings and never say or do anytning to hurt another human being." Williams' parents have been overwhelmed by the number of people who have approached them to tell them what a wonderful young man Tony was. Services were held on July 31, at Joshua Memorial Park in Lancaster. Williams is survived by his parents and his wife Sonya and son Cody.
