Source Unknown; 1 Feb 1951 Son Arrested as Patricide Suspect Returning to the cabin in which they lived on a Piute Indian reservation a mile north of Monolith, Bill Button, found the body of Sam Willie, another Indian, who had died from unknown causes. Upon being questioned Button said he had gone to the cabin at 2 p. m. and that the man was still alive at that time but was bleeding from the mouth. Requesting a drink of water, the aged Indian, 80, asked Button to pick up his mail in town. Button told officers that Willie had told him "his boy hit him." The boy is his son, Ray, who with his mother and wife were not at home when the body was discovered. Deputy Coroner Nolan Clay is having an autopsy made in an effort to determine the cause death.
