Source Unknown; Date Unknown Sept. 10, 1919 � Oct. 27, 2004 Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the Valley at Montecito Memorial Park in San Bernardino on Nov. 8 for Ruby Fay Wood, who died at her home in Grants Pass, Ore. at the age of 85. She was born Ruby Fay Bowling on Sept. 10, 1919 in Sutherlin, Ore. Ruby drove a school bus as well as owning and operating the Keene Store and Cafe in Keene for 40 years before moving to Grants Pass in 2001. She was an artist who enjoyed painting and doll collecting. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Sandra O'Brien of Grants Pass; two step-sons, Wesley Wood and John Paul Wood, both of Bakersfield; step-daughter, Karol Simms of Bakersfield; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Edwin McGuire, died in 1957; her son Dennis McGuire died in 1971 and her second husband, John Wesley Wood, died in 1992. Other survivors include Brandon and Vicki O'Brien, Stacey and Dustin Hyde and Matthew and Desiree O'Brien, all of Grants Pass. L.B. Hall Funeral Home in Grants Pass will be in charge of arrangements
