He was born in Chicago 72 years ago. He was a resident of California for 16 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Valentine Zielinski. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Carmelita; four children; Laurie Grimand her husband, Charles, Stephen Zielinski and his wife, Joanie; Valerie Butcher and her husband, Jerry, and Mitchael Zielinski and his wife Valerie. He was a loving grandfather of Amara, Patrick, Tiana, Sean, Ben, Sierra, Sutter, Carson, Jake and Brittany and his step-grandchildren; Natalie and Jerry "G-3" Butcher; sister, Dolores Small and her husband, Robert; and nieces and nephew. He was an alumni of Notre Dame and a dedicated fan. Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Our Lady of the Desert Catholic Church, 18386 Corwin Road, Apple Valley. Father Arlan Intal will be officiating. A reception will follow at Sunset Hills, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Taca at www.tacanow.org.
