Sutter native E.P. Albertson succumbs at 80.
Edwin P. Albertson a lifetime resident of Sutter county, died this morning in colusa memorial hospital in Colusa where he had been confined for the past two weeks after suffering a stroke. he was 80 yrs old. a native and lifetime resident of meridian, he was a former store owner who had operated a Meridian grocery store for 26 yrs before retiring. He also operated an walnut orchard. He and his wife, Ethel had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary oct 26, 1961. He was a past noble grand of Meridian Lodge 212, IOOF, and a member of Colusa lodge 240, F & AM , and of Meridian lodge 350 of the Rebekahs. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son , James of Redding; three brothers, Lester and Frann of San Jose and Royce of Sacramento; and by one grandchild and one great grandchild. funeral services are scheduled wednesday at 11 am at Ullrey Memorial Chapel with Rev. Harold Engdahl of Grace Methodist Church officiating. interment will be in Meridian cemetery with a graveside services conducted by officials of Meridian Lodge 212, IOOF.

Meridian, Oct 28. - One hundred ? guests filled the
residence of N.J. Jones Thursday evening to witness the marriage of
their oldest daughter, Ethel L. Jones to Edwin Albertson, oldest
son of Superintendent, James C. Albertson of Meridian. Ceremony was
performed by Rev. ? Edgell, preceded by the wedding march. Bride's robe
was white mar? with lace trimming, and her ? veil was caught with a
spray of orange blossoms. In her hand she ? a bouquet of white
chrysanthemum. They were married with ? ring. Miss Alice Wood was
