Sutter native succumbs at 75
Ethel Albertson, 75, a native and lifelong resident of Meridian, died yesterday morning at Rideout hospital. She was a widow of Edwin P. Albertson, who died Aug. 10. She was a member of the board of Meridian Methodist church for many years and belonged to the Colusa chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Meridian Rebekah lodge and Meridian Improvement club. survivors include a son James Albertson of Redding; three sisters, Mrs Richard Dewitt of Yuba City, Mrs Ray Garmire of Meridian and Mrs Elsie Locey of Hawaii; her mother, Ida Jones of Meridian; one grand child and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted ? at 10 am at Ullrey Memorial chapel by the Rev C.C. Van Leer of Meridian Community Methodist church and members of the Eastern Star. Interment will be in Meridian cemetery. Memorials to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.

Meridian, Oct 28. - One hundred ? guests filled the residence of N.J. Jones Thursday evening to witness the marriage of their oldest daughter,
Ethel L. Jones to Edwin Albertson, oldest son of Superintendent, James C. Albertson of Meridian. Ceremony was performed by Rev. ? Edgell, preceded by the wedding march. Bride's robe was white mar? with lace trimming, and her ? veil was caught with a spray of orange blossoms. In her hand she ? a bouquet of white chrysanthemum. They were married with ? ring. Miss Alice Wood was bridesmaid.
