Albert L. Beeson
Albert L. Beeson, 89, a resident of Big Bear Lake, Calif. for 25 years, died Monday, May 2, 2011
at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, Calif. Albert was born in Breckenridge, MN. on
October 15, 1921 to Ralph B. and Martha C. Honans Beeson.
After completion of his lower education he attended Wahpeton, ND. College and then enrolled
in the Army Signal Corps as a radar technician. After WWII he lived in California and studied at
Manhattan Community College to become an electrician. He went through the journeyman electrical
program and he retired as an IBEW electrician after being in the trade for over 40 years.
Albert married Nan Beeson in 1949 and had two sons, Marc and Bruce. They later divorced and he
married Marjorie Vick in 1963 and had a daughter, Colette. He also became the legal guardian of
Melissa Jones who was Marjorie’s daughter from another marriage.
Albert built a home in Big Bear, Calif., which he called home since 1986. The memorial and celebration
of his life will be held at his home at 504 Marlowe Dr., Big Bear City. The memorial will be Saturday, May
21, 2011 from 12-4pm.
Albert enjoyed camping, nature, science, building and most of all being with his family.
He is survived by his 2 sons, Mark of Granada Hills, CA. and Bruce of Sheridan, OR., and his two daughters
Colette of Reseda, CA. and Melissa of Las Vegas, NV and his 6 grandchildren – Shelby, Meagan, Clint,
Jasmine, Lilly and Michael. He is preceded in death by Marjorie and his 5 siblings - Anna Laura, Ralph,
Mabel, Rich and Marge.
