Betty Ann Bennett
passed away on May 29, 2013, at her home in Big Bear, Calif. Betty was born on July 20, 1930, in Memphis, Tenn. She moved to Southern California as a little one, attended Catholic Schools and worked in the Los Angeles area.

Betty married her beloved husband, Vincent, in 1950, raised two children, Craig and Janet in Gardena, lived in Chino for 10 years, and then retired to Big Bear in 1990.

Retirement included being a member of the Lady Elks and the Women’s Club, where she loved her friends, cards and exercise classes at the Senior Center. She enjoyed volunteering with the Pink Ladies at Big Bear Hospital. Betty and Vince are members of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Elks, Moose and RV Rovers. Betty is survived by her husband, Vince, their daughter Jan and son-in-law, Bill Bryant, her grandson, Austin Bryant, and his wife, Moko Bryant, and granddaughter, Jamie Bryant.

A “Celebration of an Amazing Lady” will be held at the Elks Lodge in Big Bear Lake on June 29, 2013, from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may donate to the following organizations in memory of Betty Bennett: ”Hospice of Victor Valley”, “Women’s Club of Big Bear-Scholarship Fund” or the “American Cancer Society.”
