Richard Ray Booth
60 years young, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on June 7, 2012. Richard, also known as “Dick”, came from a long line of specialized contractors who believed in teaching their craft to the next generation with hands-on instruction and guidance. Dick had established historical roots in the Big Bear Lake area where his grandparents operated Booth Electronic and were responsible for some of the initial power facilitation at Snow Summit.
Dick’s focus in life was simple: his beloved family, friends, and a solid day’s work. He valued family vacations that included snow skiing, water skiing, boating, camping and anything else outdoors. Dick also had a fascination with tech-nology and cars that progressed alongside new industry develop-ments over the years.
Dick is survived by his one and only true love of 41 years, Cynthia Booth, daughter; Nina Booth, Sons; Scott and Ken Booth, and his cherished grandchildren; Ilora, Sierra, Liam, and “Sweet Baby James.” Dick also leaves behind his respected brother James (Jeb) Booth and his extended family that includes Jean, Janice, and Jimmy Meneley. Dick is welcomed home and reunited with family who he held dear to his heart, which includes his father; James Booth, his mother; Jacqueline Booth, and invaluable loved ones; Pamela and Jerry Meneley.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to the Big Bear Human Society c/o Animals ARE First, PO Box 447, San Bernardino, CA 92402-0447. Note on memo line "donation for Richard Booth."
