Dennis Scott Bronson
passed away Oct. 23, 2012, at the age of 61, in Big Bear, Calif. Dennis was born Nov. 23, 1950, in Montebello, Calif., to his loving parents Mary Lou and George Bronson. He was raised in West Covina along with his two sisters; Nancy Gibson and Sally Williams.
Dennis attended California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo where he graduated in 1972 with a BS in Natural Resources Management. Dennis was ahead of his time in the organic produce industry; co-founding Mountain Wholesale Produce Company in the 1980s. Later in his career he was able to follow his passion for the outdoors when he took a position with the California State Natural Resources Department – Fish and Game Unit. Dennis was a dedicated employee with Fish and Game, in Victorville, Calif., for the past 11 years. Earlier this year he retired. Upon retirement, Dennis moved to Big Bear where he spent much of his life exploring the outdoors.
Dennis is survived by his two sons and their spouses: Matthew, his wife Kim; Collin and his wife Jessica; his 2 grandchildren, Ethan and Austin (sons of Matthew and Kim); his mother Mary Lou Bronson; his two sisters Nancy Gibson and Sally Williams and her husband Bill. He also leaves behind a niece, nephews, a host of friends and colleagues all who played a very important role in his life.
Dennis is preceded in death by his father George.
