Patricia (Pat) Ann Davis
Went peacefully to the waiting arms of our Lord, Jesus on March 1, 2012. She was born in St. Paul, Minn. as Patricia Hubbard in 1937.
Pat went to St. Agnes High in St. Paul, Minn. and moved to Southern California in 1953. She danced with Arthur Murray on early television for 2 years and continued her education both at Citrus College in Azusa and Mt. San Antonio College majoring in psychology and advertising. A single woman raising 3 boys in the '60s while attending college and working full-time was unheard of at the time.
She was a teen club director in Morroco and worked as a grocery journeyman/bookkeeper for over 20 years. Pat moved to Glendora in 1968 and married the love of her life Jim Davis in 1974 who preceded her in death in 1997. They moved to Big Bear in 1978 where she helped Jim at Safeway and Community Market.
She was involved in Marriage Encounter, Community Concerts, Boy Scouts and Big Bear Dart League and was a member of WOTM and American League Auxillary.
She is survived by 3 sons: Stephan of Yucca Valley, Robert of Moreno Valley, Jimi of Fawnskin, 2 grandsons and 1 great grandson.
She was always a lovely person, always on the go. She will be missed. No flowers. Donations may be made to Catholic charities. A celebration of life will be held at the Gold Pan on her namesake day, St. Patrick's Day, for family and friends. Your soul is free, Mom! Have fun up there!
