Carolyn Mae Dunning
Born April 13, 1926 in Los Angeles, Calif., and entered into rest at her home in Erwin Lake on Tuesday morning, April 26.

Carolyn is survived by her children Paul, Sheri, Valerie and Rocky and grandchildren Nicholas, Billy, Brittany, Haley, Jeremy, John, Christy, Daniela, Karina, Dylan and Ian.

After arriving in Big Bear in 1981, she decided that it was where she wanted to spend the remainder of her life and rarely went off the mountain. She had many good friends that she had met through activities that she participated in such as Old Miners Days and her involvement with the Erwin Lake Homeowners Association. Carolyn was truly one of the angels to have walked on this earth, always gentle, kind and nurturing.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul C. Kramer, Harold Dunning, companion Phil Alvarez, brother Edward and eldest son Terry.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Big Bear Mortuary Chapel, 321 Big Bear Blvd., Big Bear City, Calif., followed by interment at Gold Mountain Memorial Park, 370 Maple Lane, Big Bear City, Calif. Big Bear Mortuary, directors.
