Norman Lee Greene
The family of Norman Lee Greene, age 74, of Big Bear Lake, Calif., mourns his sudden passing
this week. Norman was killed in a motorcycle collision on the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011.
Norm, affectionately called “Sonny” by his family because of his consistently happy disposition,
is survived by his son, Ray (41) and his grandson, Alexander (5).
Norm was born in Pasadena, Calif., and grew up in Santa Ana. He graduated from Santa Ana High
School in 1955. He worked as an electrician based in Santa Ana for 40 years, and moved to Big Bear
Lake in 2000. Norm spent the last 10 years splitting his time between Big Bear Lake and Henderson,
With his sudden departure, the world has lost a wonderful man who was full of life, with an
unending willingness to help others. Those who knew him will join his family in calling Norm “the
most helpful man we knew.”
The family will be holding a celebration of life on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 1 p.m. at the home of his
brother in Villa Park, Calif. If you would like to attend, please contact his son, Ray at
