Bernadine K. Krueger
66, passed away on May 15, 2011, with her family by her side in Wildomar, Calif. She was
born on June 16, 1944, in Chicago, Ill., to Ernest and Irene Knitter. Bernie graduated from
Moorhead State College in Minnesota. Shortly after moving to California, Bernie worked for
Rockwell International for almost 15 years. She then worked at Hughes Aircraft where she
met her late husband Cliff Krueger. After being a resident of Big Bear City for many years,
Bernie became the president of the Big Bear City Business Association. She also played many
active roles in other local associations and organizations as well. In addition, Bernie also
found a joy in becoming a successful entrepreneur by opening and operating her store,
Pottery Plus, for many years.
After several years she decided to close down to spend more time enjoying her family,
friends and life. Many people may know Bernie by her professional success; however, most
will have known her by her contagious laugh, up-beat personality, and her desire to help
anyone in need.
Bernie is survived by her brother John Knitter and sister Geri Dilley. She also has two sons,
Ken Wolack, Cliff Krueger Jr. and daughter Karen Wolack as well as four grandchildren: Nathan,
Kyle, Nolan and Noelle. She will be truly missed by those who knew her.
