59, passed away on Jan. 26, 2013. She was born Nov. 14, 1953, in Los Angeles Calif., to her loving parents Erik and Birgit Lindberg.
As a child Christina enjoyed going camping and boating with her parents and younger sister Ingrid to various lakes and places in California and the Colorado River as well. The family was also a part of a Sports Club that went camping, fishing and water-skiing in the summer and snow skiing in Big Bear in the winter. In her late teens she was involved in a Girl Scout group that camped on Catalina Island, explored the local mountains and the Sierras, and participated in canoeing and water-skiing at Lake Shasta among others.
She graduated from Crescenta Valley High in 1971. Christina was a member of the Swedish Folkdance Group performing at various functions in Southern California. Later her three children became members of a Junior Folkdance Group. In 1990 she accompanied them in a Folkdance tour of Sweden.
Christina was an out-going, creative, caring woman. She always made a point to help others. She moved to Big Bear in 1988 with her children. Christina was employed by Snow Summit for over 10 years before she retired in 2011 to pursue her true passion of arts and crafts. Some of which include ceramics, jewelry making and stained glass art. She had a love of the outdoors and greatly enjoyed sailing. She passed this love to her children when they took camping trips throughout their childhood and she taught them to be well respected self-reliant adults.
Christina leaves behind her parents Erik and Birgit Lindberg, her three children; Jennifer, Erik and Chris, three grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her younger sister Ingrid Lindberg in 2006.
Her warmth and loving spirit will forever be in our hearts.
