Mary Lindley

Mary Lindley

beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and longtime resident and business owner in Big Bear Lake passed on Feb. 8, 2011. Mary was born in Boise, Idaho in 1931.

Mary was raised on a farm and learned early on, the values of hard work. She met the love of her life, Kenny Lindley, in 1952. They were married and had 3 boys. In 1969 they moved to Big Bear Lake, where they opened the Moonridge Market. It was a family-run market for over 30 years. In 1999 they sold the market and moved to Topaz Ranch in Nevada to live a more simple life. Mary loved meeting people who would frequent the Moonridge Market. She also loved her Friday night poker game at the Topaz Lodge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Lindley, and son, Duane Lindley.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Brad Lindley and Mike Lindley, daughters-in-law Julie Lindley and Robin Lindley, all of Big Bear Lake; four grandchildren: Kyle Lindley of Big Bear Lake; Crystal Lindley of Morgan Hills, Calif.; Chris Smith of San Jacinto, Calif.; Jeff Rickert of Rockwall, Texas; great grandchildren Payton Lindley of Big Bear Lake; Caitlyn and Brent Rickert of Rockwall, Texas; Bryan and Brandon Smith of Kaneohe, Hawaii; 
sister Ann Parsons of Granada Hills; and sisters Maxine Berry and Jose DeChambeau of Boise, Idaho.

A celebration of her life was held Feb. 12 in Gardnerville, Nev. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
