Ronald W. Long

Ronald W. Long
who was a resident of Big Bear City for 18 years, passed away peacefully at home in 
Sun City, Calif., on Aug. 4, 2011, after a four-year battle with cancer. He was born on 
April 8, 1936, in Los Angeles, Calif. and grew up in Paramount, Calif. Ron retired in 1994, after 34 years with Safeway/Vons. He was a member of Big Bear Masonic Lodge.

Ron is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jackie of Sun City, Calif.; three children, Sue of 
Huntington Beach, Calif., William (Bill) of Kona, Hawaii, and Robert (Bob) of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; grandchildren, Ashley of Sugarloaf, Calif., Robert and Matthew of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Caitlyn, Vivianne and Myles of Kona, Hawaii, and great granddaughter, Andrielle of Sugarloaf, Calif.

Military Honors Service was Aug. 12, at Riverside National Cemetery and a Memorial 
Celebration of Life was on Aug. 13, at Miller-Jones in Sun City, Calif., with a reception at home after.
