Michael Anthony Lucas
was born Oct. 4, 1957, in Long Beach, Calif. and passed away July 31, 2013, after a long courageous battle with ALS.
In his life, Michaels cup was never empty, full of life, a carpenter, firefighter and safety supervisor were a few of his many trades. Michael devoted his spare time on the football field, known to us all as "Coach" Michael was an inspiration and example of true strength, courage and most of all stood true and proud for the love of his family.
Well known for his smile, love of music, sense of humor, jokes, stories and his passion for his favorite football team, The New England Patriots.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Teresa Lucas, 3 children, Michelle Shores, Michael Lucas (Jr.), Melissa Cullen, mother Connie Collignon, step-father Robert Collignon, 2 sisters, Christine Collignon-Ray and Karen Collignon-Foley, brother Thomas Lucas, grandmother Della Stansbury, 2 grandsons Kayden Lucas and Bradley Shores. Michael was a wonderful father-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle, nephew and cousin. He left behind with love in his heart many nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family members and many friends.
We were all blessed to have known him and touched by him in so many ways.
His Celebration of his Life will be held Sept. 8, 2013, at 1 p.m. Hamilton Field - North Kitsap Pee Wee Sports Youth Association, 19894 Hamilton Court, N.E. Poulsbo, WA.
