Norma Jo McGinnis
90, is now at peace with our Lord in heaven.
Norma was born in Quenemo, Kan., on Nov. 28, 1921.
She moved to California at 5 years of age and married Dean McGinnis in 1938. They lived in Inglewood until moving to Big Bear Lake in 1964 with son Greg. She was very involved in the Big Bear Lake Woman’s Club, The Order of the Eastern Star and an honored volunteer at Bear Valley Hospital, as well as being a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her son Greg McGinnis and daughter-in-law Lynda McGinnis of Big Bear Lake; granddaughters Charlotte Chang (Philip) of Running Springs, Norma Martinez (Luis) of Highland, Calif., and Kelley Schick (Jeff) of Erwin Lake; grandsons Michael George of Cheyenne, Wyo., and David George (Gina) of Long Beach, Wash., as well as nine great-grandchildren.
Rest in peace. You will be missed and remembered.
