Private services were held at Maui Veteran's Cemetery.
Helen attended Los Angeles City College. She was a longtime resident of Big Bear moving there in 1957. With her husband, Gail, they started Mix Real Estate and Vacation Services and lived in Big Bear retiring to Maui in 1984. She was owner of Treasure Island and returned there every year until 2008 when she wasn’t able to live in the High Altitude any longer for health reasons.
Helen was a volunteer at the Maui Memorial Medical Center in Wailuku for 12 years. She was also a Boeing Aircraft Riveter during World War II. Helen was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and a Daughter of the American Revolution.
She loved camping, fishing, hunting, travel and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Lance Holter; grandchilren, River (Luke) Siver, Jade and Sarah Holter and great grandchild, Quinton Siver. She is predeceased by her husband Gail Mix and her son Eric B. Holter.
