Chet and his family came to Big Bear in 1972. He was a dominating factor as the pitcher on the Broughton Men's Fastpitch Softball Team for many years. He also was president of the Big Bear Little League in the late 1970s. He was always involved in the lives of his four sons: Rick, Kris, Trevor and Tracey. Chet was a renowned criminal defense attorney and served as Judge Pro-tem in the Big Bear Court House. His life will not soon be forgotten, nor the smile he always garnered and the laugh that reminds all of us that life is to be lived to its fullest and love is life's greatest colleague. Family who remains to remember him are Children: Stefoni Burgi, Ginger Rositer, Rick Potter, Kris Potter (Camie), Trevor Potter (Sunny), and Tracey Potter, John Reynen II (Karin), Chris Reynen, and Tammie Reynen Underwood (Steve); Grandchildren: Brittany, Derreck (Kimberly), Kristina, Amberly (Grady), Claire, Gage, Jared, Dalton, Tucker, Centauriii, Sean, Dillon, and Hazel; and Great-grandchildren: Skyler, Hailee, and Reef. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Chet will be held on Sunday, Jan. 23, at 5 p.m. at The Salvation Army Redlands, 838 Alta Street, Redlands, CA. Interment will be on Monday, Jan. 24, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA.
