Shaun Patrick Repton
a resident of Sugarloaf, Calif., was born on Aug. 21, 1958, and died Friday, April 8, 2011, of a
massive coronary at an Escondido hospital.
Shaun, originally from Derbyshire, England, lived in the Big Bear Valley since 1991 where
he worked as a master mechanic, inventor, and imported/exported motorcycles and cars. An
avid motorcyclist, Shaun competed in beach racing in the UK and was named British ATV
Champion in 1987.
Shaun loved traveling, going to the river boating and water-skiing, and even snow skied the
Matterhorn. But Shaun’s passion was riding the sand dunes of Glamis whether on a quad, in a
jeep or blasting around in his sand rail. He enjoyed nothing more than “going fast and taking
