Thomas "Tommy" Ross passed away at the age of 21. He was born July 9, 1990 to Ken and Rosa Ross, in Yuma, Arizona where his parents were stationed and proudly served our country as Marines. Tommy spent the majority of his life in Fremont, California where he attended Brier Elementary, Walters Junior High, Kennedy High, and graduated from Washington High School.
Tommy was currently a senior at the University of Saint Mary's in Leavenworth, Kansas. He had earned his associates degree from Laney College in Oakland, and was the first in his family to do so. Tommy was working on his bachelor's degree at USM majoring in sports management. He played football at Laney College and transferred to Saint Mary's after accepting a scholarship to play football for their NAIA program. Tommy began playing football in FFL, the Fremont Football League at age 10.
Tommy is survived by his parents Ken and Rosa Ross; siblings Rebecca, Kenneth, Rachel, David, and Robert; great-grandmother Delores Reyes; grandparents Shirley Adams, Salvador and Raquel Reyes. He is also survived by his girlfriend and long-time friend Ashley Nahale. Tommy leaves aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, coaches, teammates, and a vast multitude of friends.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a visitation Sunday, August 28th from 1:00-4:00 PM with a vigil service held 4:00-5:00 PM at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538. Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 29th at 11:00 AM held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church followed by burial at Irvington Memorial Cemetey.
